Study group on quantum machine learning

Spring 2019

We set up our first study group this semester, which is on Quantum Machine Learning.

A moment from our meetings with Turkish tea and cookies šŸ˜‰

We met at 18:15 on every Thursday (from February to mid-May) in Auditorium 16 at the Faculty of Computing of the University of Latvia.

Weekly leaders are Maksims Dimitrijevs (3), MārtiņŔ Kālis (2), Andis Draguns (2), MatÄ«ss Apinis (1), Jevgenijs Vihrovs (1), and Abuzer Yakaryilmaz (1).

The study group is organized by Abuzer Yakaryilmaz.

Seminar on introduction to quantum programming

Autumn 2018

During this seminar course, we have prepared and used our first pedagogical material called Bronze for introducing the basics of quantum programming and quantum computation.

See section Bronze for the details.

The seminar was organized by Abuzer Yakaryilmaz.

Reading group on quantum machine learning

Summer 2018

We met six times (July 12, 19, 27 and August 10, 17,24) during summer 2018.

We read the paper “Quantum machine learning for data scientists” by Dawid Kopczyk. The paper has nine sections.

We had three leaders. Andis Draguns presented five sections. Romans Dinuls and Matīss Apinis presented two sections.

The seminar was organized by Abuzer Yakaryilmaz.
